Not Very Good.

This 1970 original pressing of Curtis Mayfield's debut album looks perfect. But it isn't. There is a tiny, deep groove defect that causes the stylus to lock during track 3, side 1.

A visual inspection of the record would not have found this microscopic defect. Car Boot Soul Records' quality control process ensures that all the used records that are sent out to customers are playable and graded accurately.

This record was play tested then cleaned on a high-end VPI vacuum cleaner and an ultrasonic cleaner. Sometimes this deep-clean resolves playback issues. On this occasion it didn't and the record was graded Fair/Poor. Not Very Good.
