Herbie Nichols recorded these two 10" sessions for Blue Note in 1955 as a trio with Al McKibbon on bass and Art Blakey on drums -- among the few studio recordings Nichols made before his death in 1963. Originally issued as BLP 5068 and 5069, this 2021 EU compilation brings both volumes together on a single LP in mono, as originally recorded.
