Product Review:
Konono No.1's Congotronics on Crammed Discs CD -- the Congolese likembe orchestra amplified through homemade equipment.

Congotronics is the debut album by Konono Nº1, a Kinshasa-based ensemble known for playing likembé thumb pianos through homemade amplifiers and distortion rigs built from car parts. Recorded in Kinshasa and mixed in Brussels by Vincent Kenis, released on Crammed Discs in 2004. Track 5, "Paradiso," was recorded live in Amsterdam. The album later drew sample attention from artists including Skrillex and Diplo.

  • pro-cleaned

  • with a new inner sleeve

  • and a new outer sleeve

Expert, honest grading

Used records and CDs are graded when we catalogue them for sale and again before they are sent out. So they should reach you in the condition you expect.

Every used record and CD pro-cleaned

We clean our used vinyl records using a VPI vacuum cleaner. More expensive records are also cleaned ultrasonically. CDs are cleaned gently by hand.

Re-sleeving

We place each used record in a brand new paper or anti-static audiophile inner sleeve. We then place the record and sleeve (separately) into a brand new outer sleeve. Ready to be enjoyed!
