Here Comes Louis Smith is the debut album by Detroit trumpeter Louis Smith, recorded in February 1957 and originally issued on Blue Note in 1958. This 2008 EU reissue, remastered by Rudy Van Gelder from 24-bit analogue transfers, presents the mono recording in full. Smith's quintet -- featuring Kenny Burrell -- opens with "Tribute To Brownie", a direct nod to Clifford Brown.
