Like It Is Like It Was is a 1969 soul album by Chicago vocal group The Dells, released on Cadet Records (LPS-837). Arranged and conducted by Charles Stepney -- whose orchestral work defined the Cadet sound in this period -- and produced by Bobby Miller. Recorded at Ter-Mar Studios, Chicago, it features lush reworkings of standards including "Since I Fell For You" and "Long, Lonely Nights" alongside original material.
