Watch Your Step is the debut album by New York's 29th Street Saxophone Quartet, released in 1985 on New Note Records. The group -- Ed Jackson, Bobby Watson, Rich Rothenberg, and Jim Hartog -- built their sound around four-horn interplay with no rhythm section. Watson's "Hotel De Funk" and the title track are standout cuts showcasing the quartet's hard bop and post-bop range.
