94 East was a Minneapolis funk outfit led by Pepé Willie, Prince's cousin. Recorded in 1977 before Prince's debut, these sessions feature a pre-fame Prince on guitar and vocals alongside Willie and co-producer Tony Silvester. This 2004 Pazzazz two-disc set compiles both the original album and a second disc of additional cuts and instrumentals, all drawn from the same 1977 sessions.
