Alton Ellis was one of rocksteady's founding voices, his work spanning Studio One and GG's Records through the late 1960s and 70s. This white label UK 7" pairs "Mr Skabeana" with "The Children Are Crying," the B-side riding a roots reggae rhythm. Undated and unattributed to a label, white labels like this circulated for sound system and promo use -- a collector's format in its own right.
