From the Maxi Jazz Collection. A Split-Second's Mambo Witch -- Belgian EBM and electro from the late 80s. Heavy industrial drum machine and distorted bass. A cult item for the darker end of electronic music.

A Split-Second were a Belgian EBM duo (Marc Ickx and Chrismar Chayell) active from the mid-1980s. Mambo Witch, released 1988 on Antler Records, arrived as New Beat was emerging from Belgium's club scene. The extended A-side runs six minutes and became a New Beat staple. Recorded at Top Studio in Gent. Belgian original pressing on Antler 088-12.
