Alexander O'Neal's 1985 debut LP, produced by Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis alongside Monte Moir at their Minneapolis base. The Minneapolis connection runs deep -- Jam and Lewis were mid-run as architects of the Flyte Tyme sound. "If You Were Here Tonight" reached the UK Top 10, and the Side B suite "Innocent/Alex 9000/Innocent II" showcases the synth-funk production style the team were refining simultaneously with Janet Jackson's Control.
