Alton Ellis & The Flames' "Rock Steady" is widely credited as the song that named the rocksteady movement, released on Duke Reid's Treasure Isle label in 1967. This is an original UK Treasure Isle pressing (TI-7004). The B-side delivers an instrumental cut from Tommy McCook & The Supersonics, Reid's house band, who backed most of the label's defining sessions of that era.
