Point of Departure is Andrew Hill's 1964 Blue Note recording, cut at Van Gelder Studio with Eric Dolphy, Kenny Dorham, Joe Henderson, Richard Davis, and Tony Williams. This 1999 EU reissue on CD adds three alternate takes to the original five-track set. Reissue produced by Michael Cuscuna, with 24-bit analog-to-digital transfers. New Monastery and Spectrum are among Hill's most referenced compositions.
