New sealed reissue of the 1992 debut compilation. Selected Ambient Works 85-92 collects early DAF and Detroit-influenced Richard James -- Come On You Slags, Xtal, Ptolemy. The one for people who want acid house and atmosphere.

Richard D. James recorded most of this on a Roland and a few cheap synths before he was 20. Originally dropped on Apollo in 1992, this 2021 reissue is remastered and pressed by MPO. "We Are The Music Makers" flips an Willy Wonka sample over a bassline that half of 90s electronic music quietly borrowed. Xtal and Ageispolis still hit like little else.
