Moanin' is a 1958 studio album by Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers, recorded at Van Gelder Studio and originally released on Blue Note. The title track, written by pianist Bobby Timmons, became one of hard bop's most recognised compositions. This is a 2021 reissue pressed at Optimal in Germany, returning the full session -- including Blues March and Along Came Betty -- to vinyl on the Blue Note/UMe catalogue.
