From a beautifully preserved collection. Slight age discolouration to the rear sleeve. Sleeve tear (minor). A majority of records in this collection are in EX to NM condition. We have graded them conservatively here.

Ritual is drawn from the 1957 World Pacific session that produced the full-length Hard Bop, with Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers -- including Jackie McLean, Bill Hardman, and Sam Dockery -- recorded live at The Tin Angel, San Francisco. This 7" EP on World Pacific (WP 5454) pairs the title track with the humorous blues "Sam, You Made The Bridge Too Long."
