Memphis funk outfit the Bar-Kays released "Boogie Body Land" as a 12" single on Mercury in 1980, produced by Allen A. Jones. A UK pressing on MERX 56, it features the title track alongside "Running In And Out Of My Life." The group were mid-career here, having rebuilt after the 1967 Otis Redding plane crash and moved into the electro-funk sound they pursued through the early 1980s.
