Two Bill Evans albums on one CD. *Empathy* (1962) pairs Evans with drummer Shelly Manne and bassist Monty Budwig, while *A Simple Matter Of Conviction* (1966) features a different trio lineup. Both produced by Creed Taylor for Verve. This 1989 US remaster compiles the complete sessions, with standouts including "Stella By Starlight" and a nine-minute reading of "With A Song In My Heart."
