Billie Holiday's complete sessions for Commodore, recorded across two dates in 1939 and 1944. The 1939 session produced "Strange Fruit" and "Fine And Mellow". The 1944 sessions, arranged by Eddie Heywood and produced by Milt Gabler, fill the second disc. This 1997 remastered 2xCD on GRP/Commodore collects all known takes, including multiple alternates per title.
