Product Review:
From the Maxi Jazz Collection. Original still sealed. Black Star's The Instrumentals — beats-only edition of the celebrated Mos Def & Talib Kweli album.

Mos Def and Talib Kweli's 1998 debut as Black Star on Rawkus remains one of the label's defining releases. This instrumental LP strips the vocals from tracks including Respiration, Thieves In The Night, and Definition, putting Hi-Tek and other producers' work front and centre. Beats built around samples from Roy Ayers, Bob James, and Nina Simone hit differently without the rhymes on top.

What's in the box?

  • Your tunes

  • pro-cleaned

  • with a new inner sleeve

  • and a new outer sleeve

Expert, honest grading

Used records and CDs are graded when we catalogue them for sale and again before they are sent out. So they should reach you in the condition you expect.

Every used record and CD pro-cleaned

We clean our used vinyl records using a VPI vacuum cleaner. More expensive records are also cleaned ultrasonically. CDs are cleaned gently by hand.

Re-sleeving

We place each used record in a brand new paper or anti-static audiophile inner sleeve. We then place the record and sleeve (separately) into a brand new outer sleeve. Ready to be enjoyed!
