Black Velvet was a UK soul outfit active in the mid-1970s. This 1976 7" on Calendar Records pairs "Thought I Had A Good Thing Going" with "I'm On My Way" -- two cuts of British funk-soul released during a period when UK acts were developing their own take on the American sound. Calendar was a short-lived independent, making original pressings like this uncommon.
