Blind Gary Davis recorded these New York sessions in 1957, capturing the Harlem street preacher and guitarist at the height of his powers. Released in 1962 on London's 77 Records -- the label run from Doug Dobell's famous Charing Cross Road jazz shop -- this is an original UK pressing on red labels. Candy Man and Hesitation became touchpoints for the 1960s folk revival.
