Blind Lemon Jefferson recorded prolifically for Paramount between 1926 and 1929, becoming one of the most influential Texas blues guitarists of the era. This 1989 Italian Deja Vu compilation draws 22 tracks from those sessions, including "Match Box Blues" -- later covered by Carl Perkins and the Beatles -- "Prison Cell Blues", and "Black Horse Blues".
