Blossom Dearie's 1956 self-titled debut for Verve, produced by Norman Granz, captured her singular piano and vocal style across bop and swing standards. This 1989 CD reissue adds three previously unreleased tracks -- including "They Say It's Spring" and "Blossom's Blues" -- making it the most complete version of the session. Repertoire spans Rodgers, Hart, and Kern alongside two French-language originals.
