Bobby Timmons -- pianist with Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers -- recorded this New York session in August 1960. Released on Riverside, this is a French EP pressing from 1963 featuring two tracks: the gospel-drenched "So Tired" and "Stella B." Timmons built his reputation on that hard bop and soul jazz piano style, and both cuts reflect that approach in compact, focused form.
