Understanding is Bobby Womack's fourth studio album, recorded at Memphis Sound and Muscle Shoals and released in 1972 on United Artists. This is the original UK pressing (UAS 29365). Produced with the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section, it features "Harry Hippie" and "Woman's Gotta Have It", plus Womack's soul readings of Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline" and the Beatles' "And I Love Her".
