Up Tight is the soundtrack to the 1968 Jules Dassin film of the same name, scored and conducted by Booker T. Jones. Released on Stax in 1969, this is the UK mono pressing (XATS 1005). The album features "Time Is Tight," a top-40 US hit for the MG's that year, recorded here in its original soundtrack context alongside Jones's full orchestral arrangements.
