Bud Powell's 1957 Blue Note session, originally released as BST 81571, captured the pianist in a trio format at a peak of his post-bop precision. This 1984 French reissue collects eight tracks including "Moose The Mooche" -- Charlie Parker's bebop standard -- and Powell originals "Some Soul" and "Frantic Fancies." A solid reissue of a key entry in the Amazing Bud Powell series.
