Lovely recording on the Yazoo label.
Yazoo L-1010, a 1968 compilation of Arthur "Buddy Boy" Hawkins recordings cut for Paramount between 1927 and 1934. Hawkins was a Dallas-based guitarist whose fingerpicking and open tunings set him apart from contemporaries. Fourteen tracks across both sides, including "Voice Throwin' Blues" and "Coal River Blues." Early Yazoo pressing with hand-etched runouts and AudioMatrix stamp.
