Recorded live at New Orleans House in Berkeley, California, This Is Buddy Guy! was released on Vanguard in 1968, produced by blues scholar Samuel Charters. This original pressing carries the gold Vanguard labels. Covers include Eddie Floyd's "Knock On Wood" and Guitar Slim's "The Things I Used To Do," with Buddy's extended readings of "Fever" and "I'm Not The Best" showing his full range.
