Booker T. Washington "Bukka" White recorded these sides for Vocalion in Chicago between 1937 and 1940, capturing raw Delta blues at its peak. This 1969 UK CBS mono compilation collects all fourteen tracks, produced by Frank Driggs. "Shake 'Em On Down" and "Fixin' To Die Blues" were later covered by artists including Led Zeppelin and Bob Dylan respectively.
