Carmen McRae's 1999 UK remastered CD compiles two full albums -- Torchy (1956) and Blue Moon (1958-59) -- recorded in New York for Decca. Ken Barnes produced the compilation. McRae's readings of "Lush Life", "Good Morning Heartache", and "Midnight Sun" showcase the phrasing and tonal control that defined her among mid-century jazz vocalists.
