Carter Jefferson's debut album, recorded in New York in December 1978 and originally released on Timeless Records in 1979. The tenor saxophonist is joined by Woody Shaw, who also produced, alongside a tight rhythm section. This is a 2023 Music On Vinyl numbered limited edition reissue. Six tracks across two sides, including the modal title track and "Blues For Wood", a dedication to Shaw.
