UK boogie-funk group Central Line released "Lovely Day" as a 12" single on Mercury in 1983, written by members Camelle Hinds, Henry Defoe, and producer Roy Carter. The MERX 144 pressing carries two extended mixes -- the Long Version and the Sunshine Mix -- across both sides, giving the track room to breathe over its synth-driven groove.
