Mingus Dynasty is a 1959 Columbia LP featuring the Charles Mingus Jazz Workshop. This UK Philips 7" EP from 1960 pulls two tracks -- "Diane" and "Gunslinging Bird" -- from that session, the latter whose full title reads "If Charlie Parker Were A Gunslinger There'd Be A Whole Lot Of Dead Copycats." Roland Hanna appears courtesy of Atlantic Records. Sleevenotes by Mingus himself.
