An Evening At Home With The Bird compiles informal recordings of Charlie Parker made in Chicago in 1950 -- despite the title suggesting a home setting. Released on Savoy in 1961 (MG-12152), this is an original pressing identifiable by its blood red labels. Parker runs through standards including "These Foolish Things" and "Hot House," the latter a Tadd Dameron composition that became a bebop staple.
