The Chi-Lites released "Oh Girl" in 1972 on Brunswick in the US, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100. This UK pressing was manufactured by Decca under the MCA label (MU 1156). A soft-soul ballad built around Eugene Record's falsetto and acoustic guitar, it became the group's biggest crossover hit. The B-side "Being In Love" is a deep album cut from their 1972 LP "A Letter To Myself".
