Chuck Brown, the Godfather of Go-Go, recorded this set live at Crystal Skate in Temple Hills, Maryland. Released in 1986 on Future Records & Tapes, it captures the Washington D.C. sound in its natural habitat -- two extended cuts, "Go-Go Swing" and "Here We Go Again", each running close to 17 minutes. Produced by Reo Edwards, this is the percussion-heavy, call-and-response funk that defined D.C.'s homegrown genre.
