US 1974 reissue in EX/EX condition.

Recorded at the Village Vanguard, New York, in November 1961, this is Coltrane's first live album, produced by Bob Thiele and originally released on Impulse!. It features Eric Dolphy on bass clarinet and captures the quartet mid-transition into modal playing. This 1974 US reissue carries the green ABC Impulse! labels. Side B is given entirely to "Chasin' The Trane", a 16-minute soprano sax workout recorded in a single take.
