Craig Douglas's cover of "A Hundred Pounds Of Clay" reached number 9 on the UK Singles Chart in 1961, making it one of his biggest hits. Originally recorded by Gene McDaniels, the UK release was toned down lyrically due to BBC concerns over its biblical references. This is the original UK 7" single on Top Rank International, backed with "Hello Spring."
