Culture's "Two Sevens Clash" was released in 1977 on Joe Gibbs' Record Globe imprint, arriving as one of the defining roots reggae singles of that year. The prophecy-driven lyric references Marcus Garvey's prediction that July 7, 1977 would bring upheaval -- reportedly causing parts of Kingston to shut down on the day. The B-side carries the dub version. Original Jamaican pressing.
