The UK original of Curtis Mayfield's debut came out on Buddah Records here, and finding one in this kind of shape — gatefold sleeve intact, vinyl in exceptional condition — is genuinely not easy fifty-odd years on. Buddah was the UK licensee and these early pressings have a warmth that suits Mayfield's production style, the kind of analogue depth that later editions flatten out. The gatefold packaging gives the record the physical presence it deserves, Mayfield's sleeve notes and imagery part of the full experience. We clean our used vinyl records using a VPI vacuum cleaner. More expensive records are also cleaned ultrasonically. CDs are cleaned gently by hand.
Re-sleeving
We place each used record in a brand new paper or anti-static audiophile inner sleeve. We then place the record and sleeve (separately) into a brand new outer sleeve. Ready to be enjoyed!
