Jazz arranger Dave Matthews recorded this LP for Creed Taylor's CTI label at Electric Lady Studios in June 1977, with Eric Gale, Randy Brecker, and David Sanborn among the players. Side A is built around the Frank Herbert novel; Side B covers Bowie's Space Oddity and three cues from the then-new Star Wars score. Original 1977 US pressing on CTI.
