David Peaston's debut LP, released on Geffen in 1989 and produced by Michael J. Powell, draws on Peaston's gospel roots across nine tracks of Detroit-recorded soul. His cover of Billie Holiday's "God Bless The Child" is a standout. Executive-produced by Barry Hankerson. This is the European pressing, with different label variants from the US issue.
