Dayton were an Ohio funk and soul group signed to Capitol Records. This UK 12" single from 1984 features an extended remix of "The Sound Of Music" by Alan Coulthard, co-produced by Roger Troutman of Zapp. The B-side includes "Promise Me" and "Love You Anyway." Troutman's production fingerprints are all over the group's tightly wound funk arrangements from this period.
