Derrick Morgan was among the first artists to record rocksteady when the style emerged in Jamaica around 1966. This 2010 UK compilation on ACL2000 collects twelve self-produced Morgan cuts from that 1966--67 period, including "Conquering Ruler", "Kill Me Dead", and the title track. Limited to 500 numbered copies, with an insert featuring a Derrick Morgan interview.
