Desmond Dekker's "Israelites" first broke in 1969, reaching No.1 in the UK and No.9 in the US -- among the earliest reggae tracks to cross over on both sides of the Atlantic. This 1975 Cactus reissue pairs the title track, produced by Leslie Kong, with "Sugar Dumpling" on the B-side. Side A is published by Blue Mountain Music.
