Dexter Blows pairs two early Gordon albums on one 2011 Not Now Music reissue. Disc one draws from Dexter Blows Hot And Cool, recorded in LA in November 1955 for Dootone and produced by Dootsie Williams. Disc two covers The Resurgence Of Dexter Gordon, recorded in 1960 for Jazzland with Cannonball Adderley producing. Standards including Cry Me A River and Tenderly sit alongside original post-bop cuts.
