A 1954 UK Vogue pressing of a live Gene Norman Presents concert recording, originally captured for the GNP label. Dizzy Gillespie's big band is joined by Cuban percussionist Chano Pozo, the collaboration that drove Afro-Cuban jazz into bebop. The set includes Manteca and Ool-Ya-Koo, two of the key recordings from that partnership.
