Mellow Sounds is a mono EP by the Dizzy Gillespie Quintet featuring pianist Junior Mance, recorded in New York in February 1959 and released on His Master's Voice (7EG 8574) in the UK. The two tracks -- Constantinople and Willow Weep For Me -- capture Gillespie in a small-group bop setting at the height of his powers. A rare UK 7" pressing of a late-fifties Verve-era session.
