Donald Byrd's quintet, recorded live at the Half Note Cafe, New York City, November 1960. Originally released on Blue Note in 1961, this 1987 CD reissue produced for release by Michael Cuscuna adds two tracks not on the LP -- "Between The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea" and "Theme From Mr. Lucky." The band includes Duke Pearson, whose composition "Jeannine" opens the set.
